'Lovely room (and tasty breakfast too)!'  I stayed at The Gables Guest House while in the area on business. My room was nicely decorated, modern and clean and a good size too. When I arrived the owner was friendly and helpful, and offered information on where I could go for evening meals and local pubs which was useful as I'd never been to Lincoln before. At breakfast the next morning there was plenty of choice; cereals fruit salads, english breakfast, omlettes and salmon were all on the menu. I enjoyed my stay and thought it was excellent value for money.

'Excellent Guest House' I normally stay in big chain hotels when staying away for work, but have had enough of them, so thought i'd try a guest house instead. I was glad i did. The Gables was great. Friendly owners and super clean modern rooms with everything you could possibly need. The breakfast was superb and a nice big room too. The only (tiny) issue i could find was that the towel radiator in the bathroom was so hot it made the bathroom more like a sauna. I like a sauna though ;-) All in all a great stay. Would definitely recommend.

'Pleasant stay' Everything had been thought of to make our stay comfortable and enjoyment The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. It was not far to travel to a variety of eating places in the evening - in fact we didn't need to take the car out as places were within walking distance. We are 'country folk' so we did find some noise from the road a little disturbing but with a comfy bed it wasn't too much of a problem. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. All in all - home from home!

'Loved it!' Loved it - quality is the watchword in everything with plenty of attention to detail - immaculately clean, with every small need anticipated such as free bottles of water, fridge with fresh milk, toiletries provided and even replacements for the ones you left at home! 'Great value and attention to detail' Our bedroom was extremely clean and very well maintained, and contained everything one could reasonably wish for. Breakfast was served promptly on our arrival in the dining room. As well as fruit juices and cereals, there was a fresh fruit salad, with various cooked items to follow including scrambled eggs with smoked salmon as well as variations on a full English breakfast- and all included in the very reasonable price.

A bit dissapointed at first when we were told room 6 on second floor (attic room) as it wasn`t the picture we saw online, but when we went up it was a lovely room with plenty of space, seperate shower room and small seating area

'Excellent' On arrival we were warmley greeted by the owner David. The room was spotlessly clean with en suite and tea/coffee making facilities.The breakfast which was served by (hard working)Hilary was lovely and you had a good choice from the menu. I had a full English breakfast with toast most mornings (we stayed 6 days). You also have a choice of juices, fresh fruit, cereal etc. I would have no hesitation on recommending "The Gables Guest House" to anyone. 10 out of 10.

'Gable Guest House Lincoln' We thorougly enjoyed our stay even tho' it was only for one night. It was convenient for Doddington Hall where the wedding reception was held. 'Sharon and Gewdney' Our recent vist to The Gables Guest House in June 2011, we were very impressed with the cleaniness of the guest house. 'Best B&B in Lincoln' By far the best B&B in Lincoln. Comfortable and attractive rooms, great showers, off street parking, and excellent breakfast. Other details which make all the difference are free wi-fi, guest fridge, and proper wooden coathangers! Room 4 (double) probably a bit small for 2 to spend a lot of time in. Twin room (1) has plenty of space and a more comfortable chair to use with small folding table.

'As per Web Site' My wife and I prefer to avoid chain motels or hotels and look for something more personal. We particularly favour making a booking where a Web Site has suggested to us that the accommodation is precisely what we are looking for. This was the case for the downstairs studio at The Gables which was very comfortable and clean. Add to that a perfect breakfast,friendly hosts and good value for money - what more could one wish for! We will return, especially as Lincoln has much to offer.
